Welcoming Baby Naomi at Home in Columbus, Ohio
Some sessions are soft and serene—and some are full of noise, motion, and love that takes up every corner of the room. This one was the latter, in the most beautiful way.
I spent the morning documenting the arrival of baby Naomi, the newest (and only!) girl in a home full of four proud big brothers. From the moment I walked in, there was a hum of energy—bare feet running down hallways, toy cars zooming across the floor, giggles that bounced off the walls, and the occasional snack emergency (as you might expect).
And right in the middle of it all: calm, content baby Naomi, perfectly at home in the loving chaos that is now her world.
What stood out most wasn’t the whirlwind pace of the morning (though that was unforgettable!), but the tenderness threaded throughout—how each brother took a turn gently holding her, how mom and dad stayed steady and grounded amidst the joyful storm, and how Naomi brought a softness into a space already bursting with life.
This session was less about perfect portraits and more about capturing a real, living, breathing moment in time—a family growing, adjusting, and loving each other in the ways that matter most.
There were tears. There were diaper changes. There was a bit of wrestling. But more than anything, there was love—loud, honest, imperfect love.
Welcome to the world, sweet Naomi. You are already so adored.
